Happy Birthday Sebastian!

Sebastian the Ibis was debuted in 1957 as the mascot for the Miami Hurricanes. Today is his birthday and it is two days away from the season opener for football season. Here he is leading his favorite cheer to get the fans going before kickoff!

Remembering the legacy

As football season is getting closer, I can't help but remember all the good times I had here. I miss you OB!

Three days of rain

It's been raining here in NYC for three days now! Every time we walk the dog we all get wet in the mist and/or rain. Thankfully it's supposed to be sunny for the next few and warm back up to normal and above normal temps. I can't believe I'm in jeans and a hoodie in August right now!

Oops...

Forgot to post yesterday so you get 2 for the price of 1 today!

In other news - the Gizmodo Shooting Challenge this week is pet photography. I took some pictures of Juno today (most with my ring like what I posted before). I'll post the one I'm sending in as soon as I make the decision!

Repurposed

While we were in New Zealand I lost count of all the volcanoes we climbed and drove past. There are 100s just in and around Auckland! They are all dormant or extinct and have turned into grazing land for cattle and sheep. It was amazing to see these animals live in and around these steep craters!

After a long absence...

So I've completely failed at the posting everyday thing. Jury duty definitely got me out of the habit. Since then I've been job hunting and had many visitors with us in the city so I've gotten out of practice.
So here's the reboot! Last night The Break Mission played their first show in many, many months with a super line up. Instead of a duo or trio they were joined by friends for a six piece show! It was great fun with all the friends. Here's one of the photos from the night. More will be coming on their website and/or facebook.
I did some experimenting with the flash which I normally avoid. Definitely had some successes but the ones with available light definitely had more character. Overall a successful session on stage and off!
